Guide's report

Feb 22, 2017. Fantastic cold powder skiing top to bottom under blue bird skies and cool alpine temps (-15C).

Feb 21, 2017. Weather: Beautiful blue sky morning with calm winds.
Epic day, skiing huge Bella Coola alpine lines with perfect powder from top to bottom.

Feb 20, 2017. Weather: Broken clouds in the afternoon.
We got out late in the afternoon for a few epic runs in the alpine. Low density powder is still knee deep.

Feb 19, 2017. Another great day of skiing.

Feb 18, 2017. Change over day. Got a few runs in in the afternoon.

Webcam

The reason we installed this webcam was NOT to measure snow depth but to view the weather. The webcam is located in a part of our tenure that we don’t ski much as it does not receive as much snow as other areas of our tenure! The location was chosen as the view allows the guides to see what weather is coming into our operating area. For example, if we are fogged in at the lodge and we’re waiting for it to clear, the guides can monitor the webcam in order to see if the weather is clearing. If it is, they will make the “let’s go skiing” call and you can gear up asap....giving you more time on snow.
