Photo of the day
The reason we installed this webcam was NOT to measure snow depth but to view the weather. The webcam is located in a part of our tenure that we don’t ski much as it does not receive as much snow as other areas of our tenure! The location was chosen as the view allows the guides to see what weather is coming into our operating area. For example, if we are fogged in at the lodge and we’re waiting for it to clear, the guides can monitor the webcam in order to see if the weather is clearing. If it is, they will make the “let’s go skiing” call and you can gear up asap....giving you more time on snow.
